Mr Tony Duncan

Principal of Marist College Penshurst

Educating Young Men in the Marist Tradition

MCP is a relatively small boys’ school (520 boys) where the teachers know the boys as individuals and are attuned to their needs and development. The school follows the Marist traditions in that it has a strong family spirit, hard work is respected and good relationships are developed.

The students at MCP come from many different cultural groups. This is celebrated in March each year at the Multicultural Night. The students also come from many primary schools to find their place in our school.

The boys have good opportunities to develop in sports, music, public speaking and debating. The College has a well developed extension program in English and Mathematics plus a targeted intervention program that seeks to develop students who are not achieving their potential.

This is a happy school where boys are encouraged to develop into young men who are independent, young men of faith and young men who are keen to make a difference.  The school motto is Agnoscere et Diligere which means to know and to love. Boys at MCP are here to know and to love God.
